In the wild, Queens and Blues cross breed naturally quite often. The hybrids were previously incorrectly described as a Townsend's angel, but it has been proven that the "Townsend" is not a distinct species, merely a cross between a Queen and a Blue. Sometimes they are easy to determine if it's a cross, others it's not (with juveniles especially). Typically, in Adults, the body will be darker like a Blue, but have a full yellow tail like a Queen. Sometimes there is a full crown like with a Queen, sometimes it will just be a blue area like on a Blue.
