Hogfish are actually in the wrasse family, so they are not reefsafe. However they make a great addition to a FOWLR tank, as the Purple and Yellow coloration really stands out. They can grow large, typically to 15", although occasionally larger. We can only collect them between 2" and 8". Like juvenile angelfish, juvenile hogfish act as cleaners.
