The Shovelnose or Slipper Lobster (Scyllarides sp) is a unique lobster. They don't grow as large as the Spotted or Spiny Lobsters do, and "scoot" around the aquarium more than walk, like other lobsters. There are multiple species, and we don't differentiate, they are all "Shovelnose". Small ones will be 3" or less.
