  • The Blue angel has all the same characteristics as its cousin the Queen angel. It often gets overlooked by it's fancier cousin, but the Blue angel is beautiful in it's own right. In fact, it cross breeds naturally with the Queen angel quite often. The hybrids were previously incorrectly described as a Townsend's angel, but it has been proven that the "Townsend" is not a distinct species, merely a cross between a Queen and a Blue. Sometimes they are easy to determine if it's a cross, others it's not (with juveniles especially). Exact same care and requirements as a Queen angel. Juveniles set up cleaning stations, and act as cleaners to other fish.
