The King Angelfish (Holocanthus passer) is one of the few Pacific Ocean Holocanthus species. It is a smaller angel, similar in size as the Rock Beauty. We import them occasionally out of Costa Rica. The King angel is a smaller Holocanthus species, reaching 10", occasionally 12". As with most angelfish, they do best with sponges and algae in their diet. Some Holocanthus species (particularly the Rock Beauty) have a reputation of being difficult to switch over to frozen foods. All our angelfish will be eating frozen foods, and larger ones will be eating Formula 2 pellets before we list them for sale.
